Mega Shark Returns

If you’re like me, you’ve spent many a long, sleepless night tossing and turning and staring up into the darkness, wondering which creature came out on top at the end of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.

Well, we now know fairly conclusively that the winner was Mega Shark.

Which is just as well, cuz Giant Octopus didn’t have an eighth of the charisma of Mega Shark.  Hell, Mega Shark was even in the running for 2010 Patron Saint of the Bargain Bin Review.

Anyway, we know this because The Asylum, those makers of great American crap, has announced that it is developing a follow-up to SMVGO… Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus.  Looks like Mega Shark defeated the Giant Octopus, but now it has to face something even scarier…

Jaleel “I was a Teenage Steve Urkel” White will star, most likely as A Scientist Who Makes A Discovery and must convince others that The Lives of Millions Are At Stake.  One can only hope that The Lamas will reprise his SMVGO roll as Guy In Black Who Doesn’t Take Crap From Anyone.
