THE GAUNTLET: Update #2

It’s hard to believe that I’m now 3/4ths of the way through THE GAUNTLET.  Actually, I take that back — it feels as if I’ve been working through THE GAUNLET for years.

Anyway, as we head into the home stretch, I thought this would be the ideal time to take a quick look back at the films of THE GAUNTLET…

Round 1: “The Career Killer” CUTTHROAT ISLAND… Verdict: Powerfully bland.

Round 2: Invasion of the B-Movies Challenger SUPER SWEET 16: THE MOVIE… Verdict: Soul-crushing.

Round 3: “The All-American Bomb” and past Reader Appreciation Poll Winner FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY: THE TALE OF TWO AMERICAN IDOLS… Verdict: Exactly as bad as I’d expected.

Round 4: Ultimate Bad Movie Cage Match Champion BALLISTIC: ECKS VS. SEVER… Verdict: Even worse than I had remembered.

Round 5: DOUBLE FEATURE!
Chef Tom’s Challenger SPICE WORLD… Verdict: Incomprehensible.
Invasion of the B-Movie’s Challenger HOUSE OF THE DEAD… Verdict: So lazy.

Round 6: Cool Awesome Movie’s Challenger WATERWORLD… Verdict: Bad, but not that bad.

Round 7: DAYS OF YOUTH DOUBLE FEATURE!
Mass Invasion Anniversary Pick THE GARBAGE PAIL KIDS MOVIE… Verdict: Unspeakably stupid.
The Sentimental Pick XANADU… Verdict: Delightfully bad.
