Introducing THE GAUNTLET
As you know, the Bargain Bin Review is a bad movie site.
More specifically, The ‘Bin specializes in the kind of obviously bad straight-to-rental movies that clog up the ever-dwindling number of video stores across our great nation, searching for those elusive “so bad, it’s good” films. But in the simplest terms, it’s a bad movie site.
Which is why I’m occasionally embarrassed when someone asks me if I’ve seen some famously bad movie that I haven’t sat through. Because even though I specialize in the straight-to-rental market, The ‘Bin is still a bad movie site.
This sentiment came to a head last month when Salon.com rolled out this slide show of the worst-reviewed movies in the recent era. I’d only covered two or three in my Crap of the Titans section.
That’s no diss on Salon. Far from it, they’d listed ten certifiably Crap of the Titans-worthy films. It’s my Pantheon that needs expanding.
So starting tomorrow, I’m putting myself through THE GAUNTLET– ten high profile box office belly-flops, despised by audiences and critics alike. They won’t be the same ten that Salon listed, but they will all be of the same caliber.

Not this Gauntlet.
So whenever you see this icon attached to a review…

… you know that shit just got real.
So hang on tight! I begin THE GAUNTLET tomorrow with the career-killing Cutthroat Island.

So the films in these reviews will end up killing half of all life in the universe?

That’s quite possible.
